GENERAL INFORMATION

Almost 180 people attended the SBCA 2026 Annual Conference, March 12–13, in Washington, DC. The conference featured keynotes by Amitabh Chandra, who spoke on When Patients Cannot Do Their Own Benefit-Cost Analysis: The Mortality Effects of Cost Sharing, and Solomon Hsiang, who delivered the second keynote address, Quantifying Climate Change Loss and Damage Consistent with a Social Cost of Carbon.

The conference also included numerous parallel sessions featuring individual paper presentations and roundtable discussions on benefit-cost analysis across a wide range of policy areas, including environmental economics and sustainability; health economics and public health; regulatory policy and impact analysis; social equity and distributional effects; and behavioral economics and decision-making. Participants also had opportunities to network with fellow benefit-cost analysis professionals from around the world and engage with emerging research and policy discussions shaping the field.
